How we work

naveguia is a travel guide to Europe with one simple rule. It moves country by country, from the smallest to the largest, and does not open a new one until the previous one is covered in detail, from the country overview down to the last street worth walking.

Why smallest first

Because it forces the work to be done properly. A small country can be covered completely, and that level of detail then becomes the standard for Italy or France. General guides do the opposite. They start with Paris and Rome and never go beyond the usual sights.

Where the facts come from

From each place’s official website and the public bodies that run it. Every guide lists its sources at the end, with links, and says on which day they were checked. Anything that could not be confirmed is not published as fact.

How topics are chosen

With real search data in English and Spanish. Each page exists because people are looking for that answer, and the FAQs come from the questions they actually ask.

How it is funded

Through Booking.com affiliate links in the accommodation sections. If you book through them, Booking pays naveguia a commission at no extra cost to you. No property pays to be listed or for its position. It is all explained on the transparency page.
